What Happened
Tata Power Renewable Energy has commissioned a 72.5 megawatt solar project in Rajasthan. This new facility will supply clean energy to Tata Steel through a subsidiary. The project is expected to generate significant green energy annually and reduce carbon emissions. With this addition, TPREL's total renewable utility capacity now stands at 12.3 gigawatts. This development advances Tata Steel's decarbonisation efforts and India's renewable energy goals.
